A Will and a Way

SummaryIt was worse than winning the lottery—much worse. This bequest might mean more money, but the strings attached had Pandora McVie tied up in knots. Respecting Uncle Jolley's last wishes meant spending time isolated in the Catskills with Michael Donahue, her least favorite, distant relative and co-beneficiary. Living with a carrot-topped termagant wasn't Michael's idea of a good time, either, but he realized they were stuck. Jolley was a matchmaker to the end—and apparently for some time beyond. What could happen in six months? Michael answered that one himself: almost anything.

ReviewA Will & A Way was a very good book written by Nora Roberts. After I started reading the book, I was not able to put it down. This book is about Pandora McVie and Michael Donahue. Cousins who don’t really like each other at the beginning of the book, but are forced to live together in their Uncle Jolley’s mansion in order to fulfill the will Uncle Jolley left behind. As I was reading, I soon noticed them putting behind their differences and starting to fall in love through the tricks set up by their family members. These tricks were meant to make them both get out of the mansion in order for them to lose their benefits from the will. However, the family members attempts were unsuccessful. In the end, Michael and Pandora ended up engaged and acquired the benefits in their uncle’s will.

Favorite Quote: "Beginning no more than a week after the reading of this document, Pandora and Michael will move into my home, Jolley’s Folley. They will live there together for a period of six months, neither one spending more than two nights in succession under another roof. … You have my blessing, children. Don’t let an old, dead man down.”

Opposites Attract

SummaryAsher Wolfe and Ty Starbuck were tennis superstars - Ty all fire and flash, Asher the ice princess with devastating control. Three years ago, the combination had resulted in a passionate affair. But misunderstandings had catapulted Asher into an unhappy marriage with another man. Now the ice princess was back on the circuit, determined to win. But her concentration was threatened, as Ty's dark eyes dared her to become the fiery woman he had once loved.

ReviewTy Starbuck and Asher Wolfe are two tennis players and lovers who had to overcome a big secret that Asher was hiding in order to get back together. It was a very good story to read and I really enjoyed it. It helped me realize that love can overcome some great obstacles. You can save yourself and your partner a lot of hurting if you let go of your pride and be honest, truthful, and vulnerable.  I highly recommend it to those who love Romance.

Favorite Quote: "She walked home in the thinning snow, the path lights sparkling. It made her think of Ty, how he'd talked her into walking in the snow instead of wallowing."
