Questions about what happened after she left gnaw at her constantly. What happened to Ren? What about her own pack? Calla has a lot of hard decisions to make, beginning with whether or not she can go back and save the people she cares about.

Review:

This series takes a much more solemn turn with the events of the second book. The flashback scenes are especially poignant and there is no shortage of heartbreak. The themes are intense and Calla deals with serious consequences to her choices in Nightshade. This is fair warning to pick up a box of tissues before reading. The new characters that are introduced add a whole new layer to the series and some surprising plot points make this a worthwhile read full of romance, intrigue, and mystery.
