Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

Summary:
Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.

But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.

So much for normal.

Review:
Evie is just your typical teenage girl. She loves online clothes shopping. She’s obsessed with the color pink and high school TV dramas. I mean, sure her best friend is a mermaid and her ex-boyfriend is a bad boy faerie--but that’s perfectly normal right? Maybe not so much. Then there’s the tiny, little detail about Evie being the only human who can see paranormals as they really are. It turns out vampires are not so cute after all.

White has created a hilarious and heart-thumping book! You will find yourself laughing out loud, and then sighing when Evie meets the mysterious, Lend. Whether Evie’s fighting hags with her trusty taser or lusting over attending a real high school with actual lockers, you are in for a fun and fast read that will leave you anticipating more.

Look for the next installment, Supernaturally, as it hits shelves on July 26! More Evie is on her way.
